I haven’t seen this yet but as a film and tv analyst I must!! Good luck to your brother and the fabulous team. Just finishing up “Killers of the Flower Moon” which even with its long run time I think I’m really enjoying despite hearing about how viewers gave up on it because of the run time. All the performances pack a punch and dare I say this out loud, if it’s between this and “Oppenheimer” I really am rooting for this story.

Love this newsletter and the passion that you display with every word and sentence. You lend credence and love for the act of writing and reading. Thank you for sharing the best of who you are - and for sharing the art and brilliance of writers and readers. Congratulations to you brother. And, I wish I had a house in LA so I could visit your bookstore there. I will just have to write a book to visit.

Not one bookstore in SF, Oakland or Berkeley?

I know... silly, right!? I thought the Happy Women's Dinner event was going to be in San Francisco with a SF-area bookstore but it's in Los Altos with an LA bookseller. Suggestions!?

Nyad was absolutely AMAZING. I have never seen a movie that portrayed something complex so realistically as Nyad did. I hope it wins tonight and either way, congratulations to your brother for a job extremely well done. Lisa ps. Just ordered Blank on Audible and can't wait to read (listen) to it!

Loved Nyad.

We watched Killers on two separate days. It mad a disturbing topic and long movie watchable.

I think I was the only one on the planet who thought Oppenheimer was Meh. And I’m usually a huge Nolan fan.

Yes— books provide hours of entertainment! I will read tonite and look for recaps in the morning and looking forward to who wore a yellow ribbon.

I'm LOVING Blank and actually read it instead of watching the Oscars last night! But also, I didn't know there were hardcovers at the P&T event. They gave me a PB! Just ordered a few friends HC's online. It's the perfect gift book! So fun (and fast).
